Born in Chicago with a fierce passion for international development work, Katie has spent almost half her professional life in Latin America and has worked all over the world. She’s served as the program director for other international nonprofit organizations, such as Etta Projects and Healing Waters, which serve the global poor through safe water and sanitation solutions and health and hygiene education. Katie joined Bridge of Life in 2014 and is currently dedicated to leading its Chronic Disease Prevention program. She holds a BA in both Behavioral Science and Law and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a MS in Development Management and Sustainable Development from the School for International Training in Vermont.

During her free time, you can find her running the trails, skiing in the Colorado mountains, seeing live music (especially Widespread Panic and bluegrass), and enjoying quality time with friends and family.
